What is BountyHub?
BountyHub is a web platform designed to connect GitHub repository maintainers with developers. It allows maintainers to place financial bounties on specific GitHub issues, incentivizing developers to solve them. For developers, it provides an opportunity to earn money by contributing to open-source projects or specific code challenges. The platform offers a clean, dedicated user interface for seamless management of bounties, eliminating the need for complex commands. It supports crowdfunding for bounties, enabling multiple users to contribute to a single reward pool, and facilitates transparent tracking and payouts to over 120 countries via Stripe and PayPal.
How to use BountyHub
Users can get started by pasting a GitHub Issue or Pull Request URL into BountyHub's dedicated UI. Bounty creators can set a bounty amount and choose to pay in advance or only when the issue is solved, with the option for crowdfunding. Developers browse open bounties, work on issues, and submit GitHub pull requests. Once a solution is approved by the bounty creator, the bounty is automatically paid out via Stripe or PayPal. BountyHub charges a 10% fee for bounty creators and 0% for bounty hunters.

FAQ from BountyHub
When is a bounty rewarded ?
A bounty is not necessarily rewarded when a pull request is merged. The bounty creator has the ability to review the pull request and decide if it meets the requirements of the bounty. On the other hand, a bounty can still be rewarded if the pull request is not merged, which is the case when a repository is not actively maintained and the bounty creator decides to use the bounty hunter's fork.
Bounty creation payment procedure
A bounty can be paid in advance before the solution is submitted, which can be retracted if the issue is not solved. The bounty creator can also choose to pay only when the issue is solved, which can result in a delayed payout for the bounty hunter and higher platform fees.
How do I claim a bounty?
A bounty can be claimed by submitting a pull request to the repository of the issue, then importing the pull request on BountyHub by pasting the URL.
How do I get paid?
Payouts are made through Stripe for supported countries, which is the preferred and faster way to get paid. If Stripe is not supported in your country, you can request a payout through PayPal by adding your PayPal email address in your dashboard.
What happens if my pull request is not merged?
Contact the bounty creator through the issue comments on GitHub to address any concerns. If the PR remains unmerged, the bounty can only be claimed if the bounty creator decides to use your fork.
